As I clean out my travel photo closet this winter ,return I must, to my wonderful trips to Michigan and the accidental visit to the Iris Farm. This photo numbers twelve and still more to come.
The Iris Farm, located on M-72 about five miles west of Traverse City, features six acres with over 1000 varieties of hybrid German iris , mostly large-flowered hybrids. Most come into bloom in late May and early June, and the gardens can be browsed .This was not on our itinerary ,but discovered the iris farm on our way to Traverse City. Drove right pass it and had to made a U-turn to check this place out. This is Pure Michigan Travel.
